A simple yet delicious recipe, guacamole was first developed by the Aztecs in what is now Mexico. It is versatile, can be used as a condiment, spread, or dip on chips, bread/sandwiches or veggies.
Now about how I got involved in it. One cold winter night, everyone was bored, and dinner wasn't here yet. There was a bag of avocados, fresh and ripe, and lying right in front of me. What else could be done other than making a creamy and hearty snack out of these adorable avocados!
Ingredients:
3 avocados
1 small clove of garlic, peeled
Dash of cumin
Juice of ⅓ large lemon
a pinch of Salt, about 1/8~1/4 teaspoon
Steps:
Halve, pit and mash the avocados in a large bowl.
Finely dice the clove of garlic.
Combine avocados, garlic, cumin and lemon juice in a large bowl.
Sprinkle salt to taste.
Serve with tortilla chips, bread or veggie sticks.
With a full stomach and an empty plate, I began to question the purpose of dinner...
